On the 19th of October we (Silent Teddy Bear and Laerien) are organising an intermediate shibari workshop on sadism with ropes, or as the Japanese call it - semenawa.
We will show you a few fun and intense ties that you can use to put your partner in a submissive mood. We will apply various techniques to cause suffering and the release of endorphins.
The ties will be centered around choking and blood restriction, difficulty breathing and using leverage to manhandle your partner’s body. One of the ties is a hojo-justsu-inspired choking gote.
The approaches we will show you consist of:
- long-lasting and relentless tight bondage
- the use of small bamboo to tie restricting positions or to apply pressure
- causing perfectly tailored spikes of pain as we tighten selected wraps
- playing with friction between rope and skin (bordering rope burn)
- difficulty with breathing
Other mean and nasty ideas may come up as we get excited.
Our goal is to give you ideas you can implement in your play in an intense (but potentially dangerous ways). We will do demonstrations with multiple of those approaches at the same time. You will be able to experiment with the ideas that you like.
THE WORKSHOP WILL BE IN ENGLISH!
IMPORTANT PREREQUISITES! Please come prepared if you want to be able to keep up with the other practitioners.
- Couples are familiar with nerve damage prevention and basic safety! We teach that in our level 1 course.
- The model must be comfortable with the idea of experiencing uncomfortable positions, pain that's tailored to their sensitivity and endurance, and difficulty breathing.
- The model and rigger must be prepared to give their safe signal (word or gesture) if something becomes too much. We want to keep everything consensual all the time.
Riggers should have practice handling rope tension in a few basic constructions involving single and double-column ties and different frictions
In order to tie, you will need a partner for this workshop and it's best if you have experience together. Rope torture and intense play are very intimate so it's optimal if you are familiar with your responses to discomfort and pain, and trust each other.
If you are interested in learning but do not have a partner, you can participate as an observer for reduced price.
Maximum number of active riggers: 8
We can lend you rope, but please bring your own if you have it. You will need approximately 3x8m and 2x4m. You can also buy rope on the spot.
Dress code: models should wear casual, tight-fitting clothes. We recommend outfits that reveal more skin. Underwear/bodysuit is the best.

Price: 20000 HUF/couple, 7000 HUF for observers.
