I'm wanted but not needed

In a room, where everyone is busy

Inside myself, where everything is messy

Waiting to hang out

Screaming inside to be let out

They can't hear me

They don't need me

You can have the biggest family

And still be lonely

You can have lots of friends

They all want me

I'm wanted but not needed

They want to hang out

But my presence is not important

They don't mind me being left out

I need them but they want me

They don't even meet my needs

I used to ask gently

Now, I just watch as it fades

Maybe one day when I can

When I can disappear

They will appreciate it

My presence that once was there
